Isocore focuses on exactly what its name implies: ISOmetric CORE exercises. You can expect to do a lot of rotating, twisting movements, overhead, to the side, and down below. The movements should be deliberate, slow and focused. These aren't your typical Snatch moves where you are going for quick up and down with a lot of power. Even a few reps might wear you out! The exercises are intended to strengthen your entire core, not just your abs but your lower back and all those pesky muscles that so rarely get moved these days, like intercostals.
We generally recommend most monkiis start with the light version, unless you are already into functional fitness or have a really strong core game. It's harder than it looks! You can always upgrade to the heavy version down the road.
